Overview

The Security Administrator will evaluate and recommend the acquistiion of, implementation of, and dissemination of IT security tools, procedures and practices to protect information assets

Responsibilities

  • "Reverse-engineer" architecture, functions and processes
  • Documentation and recommendations of current state and future state options
  • Document policies which support operational procedures

 

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Information Security systems including firewalls, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), antivirus, training and awareness, and other technologies
  • Ability to perform complex tasks associated with the planning, development, management, and enforcement of approved IT and communications architecture in order to ensure alignment with the broader business architecture
  • Strong customer service skills functioning as liaison to users and management, able to work in a changing environment.
  • Security certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
