Overview

Red River is seeking an exceptional individual for this Claremont, NH or Reston, VA based position.

 

The Director of Professional Services –primary responsibilities are to align Red River’s deployment practices with the needs of our customers and to apply industry best practices to project delivery.  The Director Professional Services will be responsible for the management, mentoring, and development of practice teams and their leaders.  S/he will provide support to the sales organization to ensure accurate and timely statement of work creation, proper cost modeling, and exceptional delivery of services.  Additionally, the Director Professional Services will work closely with existing technical staff to support Red River’s Managed Services customers. The Director Professional Services will also work closely with the team of project managers to deliver projects on time, in scope, and on budget. This position will report directly to the Sr Director of Services Engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all practice team leaders in the services engagement division
  • Develop and maintain technical playbooks for consistent delivery including MOPS & SOPS
  • Ensure industry standards are met in all deployment projects and quality control processes are in place
  • Maintain industry certifications as required, both as an individual and leader of delivery teams
  • Recruit, train, and retain deployment engineers across all corporate locations
  • Travel to regional customer sites as required to support Red River business initiatives
  • Continually refine practice area alignments with presales engineering
  • Heavy interaction with Presales engineering and sales teams on solutions, and SOW development
  • Ensure all practice areas are following best practices for deployments (Industry and Red River established)
  • Collaborate and align Service Engagement practices with the Technical Services focuses and direction
  • Collaborate with PM Operations to ensure consistent and effective delivery of services
  • Demonstrate technical thought leadership in the industry via blogs, social media, and marketing content
  • Coordinate with resource management and planning
  • Work with Service Development teams on strategy and planning of new solutions
  • Support and help define Red River’s solution development go-to-market strategy

 

Qualifications

  • Industry knowledge of Cisco, EMC, NetApp, VMware, and other major OEM's required
  • 5-8 years of experience in leading technical teams and development required
  • Team management experience of team 10-25 people required
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
  • Communicate clearly and interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Work effectively as a team contributer on all assignments
  • Work independently while understanding the need to communicate and coordiante work efforts with other employees and organizations
