Software Sales Executive

Regular Full-Time


Candidate will possess Enterprise software and IT sales experience enabling them to discuss business and technology strategy with high level executives.   This position requires both technical and sales background in a related capacity.  Red River’s Software Sales Executive will be responsible for defining Red River’s strategy for enterprise sales that will include identifying, developing, and closing on enterprise solution business.  The SSE will ensure customer success focused on strategy and lasting mutually beneficial and reciprocal relationships.  Strategic selling and partner engagement within a shared field territory will require the candidate to work in a collaborative sales environment.  An entrepreneurial spirit will ensure success.


  • Define strategy and identify opportunities and key decision makers to negotiate and present solutions
  • Find new business opportunities and develop relationships with partners
  • Drive software sales to closure and support renewals where applicable
  • Recommend divisional direction and build software practice as a whole
  • Collaborate with field sales, partner alliance, and marketing teams to deliver solutions that match customer requirements and needs
  • Ensure partner alliances and marketing align with strategy
  • Achieve and exceed sales goals on regular basis and manage pipeline


  • BS Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or toher technical degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years previous related sales experience with an emphasis on SaaS preferred
  • Existing relationships in federal IT market is helpful
  • Strong senior level communication and presentation skills
  • Successful background that includes complex, executive-level sales execution
