Overview

Red River is seeking an exceptional individual for this addition to our growing Network/Security team.  Most work is carried out at customer sites or via remote access, so your home location is less important than your ability to travel. However, as most of our customers are located in the eastern United States, we would prefer someone based on this side of the country.

The Network/Security Deployment Engineer’s primary responsibility is to provide effective security and network implementation services for Red River’s growing customer base.  The Deployment Engineer will assist our Program Management Office during installations at customer sites nationwide. Additionally, the Engineer will work closely with existing technical staff to support Red River’s internal security and networking infrastructure. For the right individual, this position has significant growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Support, troubleshoot, install, and configure routers, and switches
  • Support, troubleshoot, install, and configure network security solutions including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, network access control, Email security, Web security, Web application firewalls, and application layer gateways
  • Develop network and security configuration documentation for customers
  • Perform vulnerability and penetration audits using common toolsets
  • Maintain industry certifications as required
  • Travel to regional customer sites as required to support Red River business initiatives

Qualifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Security certification required
  • Understanding of network routing and switching protocols
  • Experience with Cisco Security solutions required (ISE, ASA, SourceFire/FirePower)
  • F5 experience and certification desired (LTM/ASM, APM)
  • Blue Coat experience and certification desired

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites nationwide
