Overview

The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for building and delivering on the Business Intelligence and Analytics roadmap.  This strategic plan aligns corporate needs for BI applications such as Tableau, Power BI, and other internal tools against recommended best practices and drives adoption for optimum usage.  The BI manager identifies, prioritizes, and implements BI projects in coordination with the rest of the Business Operations department. Functioning at times as business/data analyst, project manager, and trainer the BI Manager assists where necessary throughout the application delivery process. This position requires the ability to communicate across the organization, often translating between the business process owner and technical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary business point of contact for Business Intelligence and Analytic applications
  • Create, maintain, and execute strategic roadmap leveraging market/product knowledge and business priorities
  • Build, update, and train users on dashboards & reports
  • Create business recommendations based on data analysis
  •  Coordinate with product managers and development staff on projects
  • Monitor and continually enhance application effectiveness to drive adoption
  • Contribute to documentation for projects, bug fixes, and application planning
  • Be highly responsive and flexible in a multi-project, fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5 years of experience working in Business Intelligence or Analytics
  • Knowledge of standard software development lifecycle

 

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Knowledge in the below areas a plus
    • Tableau
    • PowerBI
    • MS SQL
    • ServiceNow
